Hi Folks.

See 2021 / 22 gig guide on this site.

2022 will be our 15th year of organising social line-dances to live music at The Fleet in Fletton, Peterborough. We know from your very kind messages that you enjoy your evenings with us and we hope you will continue so to do. We have been able to book several of the artists you have requested and also made a couple of other changes we thought appropriate from your suggestions.

The last 18 months has seen a hiatus to our enjoyment of music and dance brought about by COVID 19. The shutters literally came down in the 2nd week of March 2020 and weren't lifted until July 19th 2021. It was a very nervous restart for all of us with the virus still prevalent in all parts of the country though somewhat negated by the vaccination programme. We are still trying to take all sensible precautions.

Covid enforced a change of artist for our 1st linedance back in Aug 2021 with Cliff Weston standing in for Bob Keeley who was forced to self isolate. Socials for the rest of the year are as per programme. We are also looking forward now to the rest of the year, especially working with The White Buffalo organisation at their 2 Skegness weekends and their music festival at The Camp, Ramsey.

One of the really pleasing aspects of putting on socials is the opportunity to meet and greet friends both old and new, and from both sides of the footlights. Particularly pleasing also is to see the dances that are being taught at the Fleet and our classes in Whittlesey reaching the dance floor. We made a conscious decision to include some of these in our interval disco and have a good response from yourselves. These are social nights for all to enjoy.

We're also priviledged to provide the interval disco for Janet & Les at the linedance events they host at Emneth near Wisbech on the 2nd Friday every month. A great crowd and a very warm welcome guaranteed.

All the dates for 2022 are now on the site. Hope you agree the programme is one to look forward to with several old friends returning by popular request.

Cheers, see you on the dance floor.

John & Lynne
